Khao Chang Phueak is located in Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province, in the area of Thong Pha Phum National Park. "Khao Chang Phueak" is the name of the highest peak of Thong Pha Phum National Park. It is approximately 1,249 meters above sea level.
There is a walking path with sparse forests interspersed with grasslands. The highlight of the adventure travel is the "San Kom Mead" route, which is a thrilling route but has incredible beauty.
When you reach the top of the mountain, you'll be able to enjoy a 360 degree view that you will definitely never forget. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has named this place as one of the 10 Dream Destinations that tourists should visit the most.

Don't book tickets if you haven't read this informations.
Because it is a tourist destination in the national park and the route is narrow and dangerous. To travel to the Khao Chang Phueak nature trail, there will be requirements and regulations as follows.
- Thong Pha Phum National Park is open to the Milky Way Mountain during May - January only, depending on the weather. (Follow up the national park news)
- Reservations must be made in advance and can only be reserved up to 7 days in advance.
- Must inform the name, surname, telephone number and national ID number on the top within 1 day after booking.
- Open for reservations every day from 8.30 - 16.30 via phone 0-3451-0979 and 09-8252-0359 .
- Thong Pha Phum National Park limits tourists to the top of Khao Chang Phueak, 60 – 80 persons a day.
- You can hire workers to carry camping supplies. The price of a porter's labor is 700 baht per person.
- Tourists need to prepare their bodies and time for their journey because they have to travel long distances and camp (at least 3 days).

Equipment needed to travel on Khao Chang Phueak
- 4 - 5 meals

Khao Chang Phueak travel distance is about 8 kilometers. The journey up to Chang Phueak takes approximately 5 hours and 3 hours for the downhill route. Spending time on the mountain 1 night 2 days costs approximately (1,500 baht/person)

Traveling from Bangkok to Khao Chang Phueak
You can take a van or bus to go to Kanchanaburi (about 2 hours 30 minutes). It is recommended to use a van as it is faster and more comfortable than a bus. The van can be used at the mini bus station (opposite Mo Chit).
When you arrive at Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal, you take a van again to go to Thong Pha Phum District. You have to get off at Thong Pha Phum Market (about 2 hours). Then use the yellow-colored pick-up service to go to Thong Pha Phum National Park.
