How to get to Similan
Bangkok to Similan islands
You can travel from Don Mueang Airport to Phuket Airport. Then travel to Phang Nga Province by bus or van (there is a van from the pier 300 baht per trip per person) to Thap Lamu Pier, a distance of about 100 kilometers.
Upon reaching the pier, continue with a speedboat to the Similan Islands National Park. The distance is about 70 kilometers. To travel by boat, reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. Because the boat will have both going and returning only one way. Morning departure to the island at 8.30 and return from the island at 3.30 PM.
Phuket to Similan islands

Located in the north of the Similan Islands, opposite Koh Bangu and is the largest bay of the Similan Islands.Ao Kuak looks like a curve deep into the island like a horseshoe, flanked by a pointed tip that extends into the sea. There are two main tourist beaches, Haad Na on the west of the island and Haad Lek on the east. The last part, before reaching the viewpoint, must climb the rocks by pulling the ropes tied to the trees.
When reaching the Lan Lan viewpoint, you will see a view of Pusar Rock Island and the end of Koh Similan, while the northern part of the viewpoint will see the tip of Koh Miang and Haad Lek.

Koh Tachai is at the northern end of the Similan Islands National Park with 2 snorkeling spots.
The first point on the north side of the island has beautiful shallow water corals, the sea is about 4-6 meters deep, while the other point is 6-10 meters deep below the island. There are hard corals and there is a chance to see fish more than the first point.
Koh Huyong (Koh Nueng) has a snorkeling spot in the north of the island, a large coral grove of various types.In this area, the water depth is 6-18 meters, can dive in both shallow and deep water.
Ao Kwang En (Beacon Beach) in the east of the Similan Island can be dived in both shallow and deep waters with water depths of 5-9 meters before sloping down to 31 meters.
Because the top of the coral is only 3 to 4.5 meters from the water surface, it is home to a variety of fish such as grouper, Morray eels. And always find sea turtles.
Koh Haa (Five Island) will find Snapper Alley as a dive site with many staghorn coral reefs. Anemone and clownfish can be found. The highlight is the garden eel that has been remembered for so long that it has been known as the eel garden.

Koh Tachai has a famous scuba diving spot on the west side of the island, characterized by two large sunken rock peaks, surrounded by large schools of fish. Especially manta rays and whale sharks are found more easily than other dive sites in the Similan Islands.
Koh Bon or Koh Talu has many scuba diving spots, but most of them are exploring diving around the western islands. There are important dive sites as follows.
- In the south, not many divers start diving from this point. Due to the strong currents, it is not suitable for beginner divers.
- The dive site in the west along the ridge has a depth of about 35 meters. Most tourists use it as a starting point for diving to explore the surrounding dive sites.
- The west dive site along the wall has a depth of about 40 meters. This is the last point for exploratory diving around the west island (this point has strong currents).
Koh Bon scuba diving site is rich in marine life such as coral reefs, soft corals, whitetip sharks and frog sharks are easily found.
Huyong Island (Island Naung) is a scuba diving site in the southeast of Huyong Island with a depth of 21-42 meters. There are many underwater ditches and caves along the coral reef with many kinds of fish such as frog sharks, manta rays, lionfish and lobsters.
Hin San Shark or Hin Raft is located near Payang Island (Koh Two). This point has a depth of 21-27 meters. There are larger coral reefs growing on rocks and sand and soft coral. Sharks, frogs and manta rays can often be found.
Hin Pusar (Skull Rock) is a rock outcrop shaped like a skull located in the southwest of Koh Similan (Koh Similan). It is an underwater rock mound at depths ranging from 12 to 36 meters, with straits between the rock walls filled with soft corals, scallops, and small marine life such as shrimp and crabs.
