Sukhothai is an important capital of Thailand that flourished between the 18th and 20th Buddhist centuries. Then it was annexed as a territory under the rule of Ayutthaya around the 21st Buddhist century.

Getting to Sukhothai Old City
By car
From Bangkok to Sukhothai, a distance of 440 kilometers, take Highway No. 1 through Nakhon Sawan, Phitsanulok Province, onto Highway No. 12 (Singhawat Road). Follow the GPS continually, when passing through the old city, you will see different types of pagoda tops.

By bus

It is a temple that enshrines Phra Atchana or Atjana, which is a Buddha image in the subduing Mara posture. The appearance of the viharn that enshrines Phra Atchana is built in a rectangular shape similar to a Mondop. But the roof had completely collapsed, leaving only the four walls left. Each wall is masonry, holding cement firmly, able to reach the top wall. Within the niche of the wall, there is an old but almost faded painting, this painting is almost 700 years old.
