Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Prao Temple or Phu Prao Temple, another popular name is the Glowing Temple. This temple will be located on a high hill in Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
Behind the chapel is a green glow painting of the Kalapapruek tree, really beautiful. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will see glowing stars around the chapel and it is recommended to go on a dark night because you can see the glow of the Kalapapruek tree and the stars more clearly.
As for the glowing Kalapapruek tree, it is the design skill of artisan Kunakorn Parinya Punno, who is the one who installed each mosaic by himself. He was inspired by the Tree of Life in the movie Avatar by using fluorescent agents around the tree. The properties of fluorescent substances will receive sunlight during the day and can shine out at night.
The ubosot is modeled after Wat Xieng Thong, Laos, but is more than 1 times the width and 2 times the length. Each pillar is meticulously handcrafted. Around the outside is a lotus flower pattern and various animals according to the 4 lotus motto. It is a presentation of art born of peace, perseverance, patience and vision, which each work must be thought of from a truly exquisite thought.
