Snorkeling trip to Similan Islands white beach, clear sea

I went on a Similan Islands diving trip for 1,900 per person. I traveled on May 15, 2020, the last day before the Similan Islands National Park closed the island to restore nature. I bought a Sea Star dive trip which for the price I paid had hotel pick up and drop off.

Sea Star is adjacent to a large shipyard.
Prepare before boarding the boat.

There is also free breakfast, but I already ate from the hotel.

The Similan Islands have a total of 10 islands (in the past there were 9 islands). We did 3 dives and landed on 2 islands, Koh Four and Koh Similan (also known as Koh Pa). You'll have free meals to eat at these four islands, which also have toilets and infirmaries.

This is our guide.

We are on our way to get on the boat.

Shoes are not allowed, which I think some people may drop their shoes in the sea, endangering the marine life.

Travel about 2 hours to the first diving point near Koh 4 (also known as Koh Miang).

1st dive site
If you don't want to dive here, you can go for a walk on the beach on Island 4.

I choose to dive.

There are many clown fish and small fish.

But I think the corals are not so beautiful.

On Koh Miang or Koh 4

After the dive, I came up on Island 4 to have lunch. There are no toilets on the boat for defecation, you only need to use the restrooms on the island.

There is also a shop for drinks and ice cream on the island.

Similan Islands National Park Office.

There are quite a lot of tourists and I don't think we have to fear the COVID-19 outbreak.

The beach is about 500 meters wide with white sand and very clean.

The side zone next to the beach is rocky.

After eating a full meal, it's very nice to sit and enjoy the breeze here.

Don't forget your sunglasses.

There is another beach in the back of the island, unfortunately I didn't walk there because I had little time.

Go to the second dive site.

The coral reefs here are larger than the 1st dive site, but there are fewer fish.

The 3rd dive site didn't dive because I was tired.

Going to Island 8 or Koh Similan, this is the highlight.

The sailboat-shaped rock is the symbol of the island.

The high waves made getting on and off the boat difficult and scary.

But the beach here is very beautiful.

Sailing Rock Viewpoint is the highlight of this island.

There is a drink and snack shop.

This is the way up to the viewpoint.

The walkway is quite steep and has a distance of about 300 meters.

Arrived at the viewpoint

There are a lot of people here because of the beautiful view and there are many photo spots.

This is a beach photo taken from the Sailing Rock viewpoint in the Similan Islands.

I spent time at the viewpoint 15 minutes then walk back to the beach.

Getting back on the boat was just as exciting as when I got on the boat. The day I went, the waves were high and windy, not suitable for old people.

I took a video of the Similan Islands diving trip, click here.
